Gerald Olivari first conceived the idea of Black Vibes while attending the University of Michigan in 1996. Along with 4 other people, he helped form an organization that changed the expectations of students on campus. Through innovative programming and the basic concept that the customer comes first, Gerald led the organization to the forefront of the campus. During this time, Gerald was also the President of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the Black Greek Association. This hard work and determination helped Gerald win Student Leader of the Year awards from the University and the NAACP. Gerald graduated from U of M in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. 

Gerald is very familiar with music industry. Once a performer himself, Gerald understands the difficulty associated with making a career as an artist. Along with being an artist, Gerald also has 5 years of radio and television experience. Combined with his leadership experience, this knowledge of the industry has helped Gerald to provide the vision for Black Vibes to be The Source For All Your Entertainment Needs

Gerald has been involved with various charity organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Hands on Atlanta, and various tutoring programs. 

Gerald also has 14 years of web development experience.



Marshall Lyons II
Manager, Business Development and Social Media
Marshall Lyons joined Black Vibes, Inc. in May of 2002. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, where he also served as President of Black Vibes, the student organization. Marshall was also an On-Air Personality for 2 years on Black Vibes Boogie Nights, a 3-hour radio show that aired every Saturday night on U of M's college radio station, 88.3FM WCBN. 

Marshall's passion for the entertainment industry comes from a genuine love of music and film as well as a keen interest in the development of Internet law. An avid music lover, Marshall has an eclectic music taste which ranges from Sam Cooke, Tupac Shakur, and the Wu-Tang Clan to Metallica and Coldplay. 

Marshall's charitable work includes Gleaners Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity and The Salvation Army.
